One of the great choral works, Bach’s St. John Passion is a deeply human, intensely dramatic telling of Christ’s arrest, suffering and death, set to music of power and beauty. In this performance with a chamber choir and orchestra we offer a condensed version, with a strong emphasis on St. John’s narrative told in Contemporary English.
