STORYSCAPE: A programme of stories and storytelling open to the sacred.
SPRING WORKSHOP // Speaking and Stillness // Anthony Nanson
An invitation to work experientially with stories, in person, to explore their meanings for us, find a sense of connection, and give expression to our voices. The workshops, facilitated by Anthony Nanson, are for anyone interested in stories, storytelling, and the spoken word. No previous experience needed. This season’s workshop investigates the dynamic between speaking and silence and also the space within stories in which our personal responses to them arise. Maximum 20 people.
Hosted by Anthony Nanson.
Anthony is one of our Creative Partners for 2026, curating STORYSCAPE: A programme of stories and storytelling open to the sacred.
Anthony has been telling stories professionally since 1999, the same year he founded the long-running Bath Storytelling Circle. He also co-founded the storytelling company Fire Springs and participated in the Tales to Sustain and the Telling Place storytelling initiatives.
His books include Storytelling for Nature Connection (coeditor) and award-winning Words of Re-enchantment, Gloucestershire Folk Tales, and Storytelling and Ecology. Anthony has a PhD in ecological storytelling and storywriting and has lived in Stroud since 2004.
