STORYSCAPE: A programme of stories and storytelling open to the sacred.

SPRING HEADLINER // Kissing the Moon // Jane Flood
Wordsmith and image dancer Jane Flood offers an exuberant dance through aspects of the divine feminine. Goddess, Wild Woman, Mother, Witch, Crone – ancient stories show us that She is everywhere and is part of all of us. Featuring live music.

Jane Flood has been telling traditional stories since 1994. Her work has taken her to East Africa, Nepal, Tibet, Peru, and Ecuador. She has been storyteller-in-residence for several major community-and-environment arts projects in Somerset. Stories are her passion and she believes that, as well as offering entertainment, they are tools for discovery of the self and a way to grapple with the complicated conundrum of what it means to be human.

Hosted by Anthony Nanson.
Anthony is one of our Creative Partners for 2026, curating STORYSCAPE: A programme of stories and storytelling open to the sacred.

Anthony has been telling stories professionally since 1999, the same year he founded the long-running Bath Storytelling Circle. He also co-founded the storytelling company Fire Springs and participated in the Tales to Sustain and the Telling Place storytelling initiatives.

His books include Storytelling for Nature Connection (coeditor) and award-winning Words of Re-enchantment, Gloucestershire Folk Tales, and Storytelling and Ecology. Anthony has a PhD in ecological storytelling and storywriting and has lived in Stroud since 2004.
