Mozart Requiem: Stroud Refugee Aid Choir
1 November 2026
Ticket information:
Tickets cost £15 per adult. Under 18s are free but will still need a ticket.
Mozart’s Requiem was commissioned by Count Franz von Walsegg in memory of his wife. It was unfinished at the time of Mozart’s death in 1791, and was completed by Süssmayr.
This year’s Stroud Refugee Aid Choir performance promises to be a stunning event. Hugh Barton and Mark Wilson will conduct the hundred-strong choir with soloists Harriet Perfect, Catherine Perfect, Nick Sherwood and Phil Brotheridge.
Staying with the same composer, Mark Wilson, who, as well as being a choral conductor is a professional bassoonist, will perform Mozart’s Bassoon Concerto. The concert programme will be completed with the choir singing Bruckner’s unaccompanied motet, Pange Lingua.
All profits will be donated to UNHCR and GARAS. Tickets can be bought on line, from members of the choir or from Stroud’s Made in Stroud shop.
