Come one, come all to a fantastic evening of live entertainment featuring performances from local, national and international stars. This year’s Festival of Wonder Gala evening is sure to amuse, amaze and inspire.

Step into a wonderful woodland world as you collect your complimentary glass of prosecco (or non-alcoholic alternative) on arrival, then settle in for an incredible evening of circus, music and comedy.

Then embark on your Saturday night’s evening of wonder in the company of incredible Stroud-based singer-songwriter Asha McCarthy with her amazing guitar and vocal loops, performing her unique songs which blends her background in North Indian classical music with Irish folk.

Next join a world class cast of aerialists, jugglers, magicians and musicians as they invite the audience to join them on a journey through a wonderful woodland world in “The Briar And The Bramble” circus spectacular. Prepare to be amazed by a specially commissioned circus show; written and directed by Andy Bewley. Featuring performances from acrobat and aerialist duo Klodi & Yann (straight from the West End ‘Come Alive’ spectacular), champion juggler Gordon Marquez (returning by popular demand, last seen at the Festival in 2023), sensational stage magician Marco Cardoso – and for the first time a live band!

Finally finish your evening in the company of Gloucestershire’s favourite circus performer, Tweedy the Clown! For two years, Tweedy was featured clown on Ringling Brothers, and Barnum and Bailey shows, playing such prestigious venues as Madison Square Garden and The Staples Centre, LA. Most recently in 2024 Tweedy did a UK tour of his own circus Tweedy’s Massive Circus, which played to packed houses, received rave reviews and was a big hit at The Edinburgh Fringe, leading him to be put on The List Magazine Top 100 issue. Tweedy has won many comedy awards and his talents are much in demand in circus, theatre, TV and film, both at home and abroad. He has built up a cult following which includes a number of celebrities. In King Charles III’s very first New Year Honours list, Tweedy was awarded the British Empire Medal and has just published his first children’s book Tweedy: The Clown Who Lost His Nose.

This event is one of the few paid events at this year’s Festival. By buying your ticket you are helping ensure that others who may not be able to afford such events can experience a Wonderful Weekend too. Thank you for supporting us!
